The Public Interest Law Fund is a student-run organization dedicated to heightening and engaging the UCLA legal community’s commitment to public interest law. Toward that end, PILF raises money to provide grants for students to pursue summer internships that would otherwise be unpaid, as well as providing Los Angeles’ philanthropic community with myriad giving and volunteer opportunities.
PILF hosts a variety of fundraising events, such as the Trivia Challenge, the 5k Fun run, and the Summer Pledge Drive. Our seminal event, the PILF Auction, is going into its 15th incarnation in March of 2008 and has consistently provided an electrifying evening’s entertainment for alumni, students, faculty, and staff.
Last year PILF raised enough money to help fund summer internships for over 150 UCLA law students at non-profit organizations throughout the United States and abroad. Please browse our web site to learn more about UCLA’s Public Interest Law Fund and how you can get involved.
